He said that he was a double cousin of Thomas "Stonewall" JACKSON." [I have found no link to Stonewall JACKSON yet.] In a letter from Fannie De Montmollin dated 16 Aug 1939: "Christiana Elizabeth [sic] HOBBS TROTMAN & Aunt Sarah HOBBS' husband were brother and sister. Rachel HARRISON's children--Mittie, Louella, Alex, Jim. Louella married Barbasee. Alex & Jim's decendents live in TX. Thomie TROTMAN came a long way to visit (20 miles) his sweetheart, asked her to marry him the next year. She did not see him again until he arrived a year later in an ox-cart. They married and moved to Stewart Co, GA and first lived at OVERBY place. Later they bought the farm where he lived and later his son, Aaron TROTMAN lived there. Seven TROTMAN sons and sons-in-law died in Civil War. Aaron married Annie BIRDSON, has SCHULER relatives in Montgomery, Ala. Fanny Mon de Mollin, born 1876, granddaughter of Thomas & Kitty HOBBS TROTMAN. Mollie TROTMAN married four times.
