The John T. Mercer in your number 3 below is the John I was interested in. Looks like he would have been Jesse's son.

My great-grandfather John had a middle initial of "A" on his marriage license to Martha Welch in 1892. On the 1900 census it looks like a "T" for a middle initial. His family thought his midddle name was Wesley. OH MY!!

My John has several birth years listed which makes it complicated. He was born April 1861 on 1900 Hephzibah, Richmond County, Georgia census(he was 39). He was living with first wife Martha Welch.

On the 1910 Bath, Aiken Langley South Carolina census he was 58 (he gained ten years). He was with second wife of two years Maggie.

LDS has his birth as May 1866 with him dying in SC in June 1911.

I am sure that this is my John Mercer because he has his children William Robert, Leonard Thomas, Elie Jack and Beulah with him.

This is your info below. Do you have your Jessie in 1870 or 1880 census? John T. Mercer number 3
Thanks so much
