In the name of God Amen , I Henry Mercer, Planter Robeson County and State of North Carolina being weak in body but of sound and  perfect mind and memory blessed be the Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my Last Will And Testament, in the manner and form  following that is to say
First I give and bequeath unto my well lawful wife Hannah Mercer one half of my plantation and house , one negro with name Jude , one half of my stocks, horses, cattle, hogs also half my household furniture wares and merchandise that I am possessed of, she to Enjoy and possess the same as her right and property during her life time and ------ longer. I do also give to my son Peter Mercer all my land that is on the lower side of the Branch and also the Smith tools.  Also I give and bequeath unto my Son William Mercer all my land on the upper side of the Branch and the Branch Also the half of my stocks, horses, cattle, hogs wares and merchandise that I am possessed of at the time of my death Except what I shall give my daughters Nancy and Dorothy also I give William Mercer my son the legacy that I have left to his mother at her death for him to enjoy and possess forever. Also I give to my daughters Nancy Mercer  and Dorothy Mercer five head of cattle which Nancy has in her possession and four head of cattle which Dorothy has in her possession and it is my last will and pleasure for each of the Nancy and Dorothy to have fifteen pounds specie  to be paid unto the said Nancy And Dorothy before there is any division between Hanna Mercer and William Mercer also I give to Elizabeth’s heirs fifteen shillings specie also I give to Margaret Willis ten shillings specie therefore I desire that all these Legacies Shall be paid within six months of my death and thereby constitute and appoint my Son Peter and my Son in Law Agerton Willis Joint Executors of this my Last Will And Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of November in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and ninety one .
