In the name of God Amen, I Elizabeth J Messer of said state and county being of advanced age and knowing that I must shortly depart this life deem it right as respects my family & myself that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me, do therefore make my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me.

1. Item I give and bequeath unto my son Joseph J Mercer one bed , bedstead and furniture , first choice.

2. Item I give and bequeath unto my son Newton W Mercer one bed , bedstead and furniture , second choice.

3. Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Nancy A Woodard , one bed , bedstead and furniture , third choice.

4. Item I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas J Mercer my household and kitchen furniture consisting in part Beds & bedding, Burrow Tables & chairs, glass ware crockery ware, coopers ware tin ware knives forks & spoons, one cotton gin , blacksmith tools carpenter tools and all monies notes and debts or evidence of debts I may have on hand at my death .  one clock and my cattle both milk cows & dry cattle and any other property I may have on hand at my death Except that which I have mentioned in 1,2,&3 Items.

5. Item I hereby constitute and appoint my brother James G Barnes Executor of this my Last Will & Testament
