Theresa L. Charlton, 54, died at 7:06 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Alton Memorial Hospital with her loved ones by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 3, 1955, in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Jesse and Georgia Mae (Naylor) Whitten.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.
Surviving is a son and his wife, Aaron and Stacey Bizaillion of Alton, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kimberly and Jeff Dondanville of Alton and Angela and Travis Adam and Jessica Charlton, all of Wood River; three grandchildren, Zander Harrison, Jared Bizaillion and McKenna Grace Dondanville, her little star; two brothers, Larry Whitten of Godfrey and Robert (BOB) Whitten of East Alton; and a sister and her husband, Beverly and Robert Thompson of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore, Ill. The Rev. Andre’ Dobson will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Alton Memorial Hospital Cancer Care Center or to the family.
